Fr. Quan Trans Speaks on "Fullness of Grace: Imitating Mary to receive an overabundance of God's gifts."
Fr. Quan Tran is a Parochial Vicar at Christ Cathedral Parish. He is also the Episcopal Vicar of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs for the Diocese of Orange. Prior to coming to Christ Cathedral Parish, Father was Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Newport Beach for three years. Father was ordained a priest in June of 2011, after attending the Pontifical North American College and receiving his Sacred Theology Bachelor and Sacred Theology Licentiate in Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome.
Prior to entering the seminary Father was an attorney for 12 years, 10 of those as a Deputy District Attorney for Orange County. In 1975, when Father was six, his family came to the United States from Viet Nam and he grew up in Denver. In 1985 his family moved to Orange County and Father graduated from Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach. He then attended the University of California at Irvine and then Baruch College in New York, where he received his bachelor degree in Business Administration. Father then attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor.
