Upon completion of my B.A. (Liberal Arts – Great Books) from Thomas Aquinas College, I took a year to teach high school before continuing to Rome where I studied in Rome at the Angelicum (STB) and the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (STL & SThD). When I finished my graduate work in moral theology I decided to return to the United States to do policy work in an effort to develop a more practical understanding of my primary subjects of interest: Thomistic Anthropology, Bio-Ethics, Feminism & Gender Studies, Marriage & Family, Culture and Catholicism. In 2001, St. John Paul II presented me with the annual Pontifical Academies Award for my published dissertation, Woman As Imago Dei.
My policy experience provided an opportunity to learn media and communications skills. In turn, I have come to realize that almost every environment is a classroom of sorts. People of goodwill everywhere are looking to deepen their understanding of the deepest truths about the human person.
I have represented the United States at the United Nations and the Holy See at the Organization of American States. Frequently, I have occasions to comment in popular and academic circles as an ethicist and cultural analyst. My work has appeared in various publications including The Wall Street Journal Europe, The Washington Post, National Catholic Reporter, Our Sunday Visitor, Patheos, and National Review Online. I am a consulting member of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas. I also serve on the advisory board of the peer reviewed journal Annales Theologici.
Parking is free of charge; lot P7 is most convenient to the Cultural Center. For your convenience, a map is located on our website.
